Outfitter & Guide Entitlements

Guide Entitlements

Big Game Guides are entitled to:

  • Guide for gain or reward:
    • one or two non-resident or non-resident alien licence holders while hunting for big game, wolf or coyote they are legally authorized to hunt under an allocated licence pursuant to a contract with an outfitter;
    • any number of resident licence holders while hunting animals they are legally authorized to hunt.

Bird Game Guides are entitled to:

  • Guide for gain or reward:
    • non-resident or non-resident alien licence holders while hunting for bird game they are legally authorized to hunt under an allocated licence pursuant to a contract with an outfitter;
  • CONDITIONS:
    • for migratory birds guide must be employed by the holder of a bird game Outfitter-Guide permit and privilege(s);
    • bird addendum is carried at all times with wildlife management unit(s) and outfitter-guide listed;
    • applicable client hunter days limitation is complied with.

NOTE: A guide can not recreationally hunt on the same day as they are guiding.

Outfitter-Guide Entitlements

Sheep (Class S) Outfitter-Guides are entitled to:

  • enter into a contract with a non-resident or non-resident alien for the provision of guided hunting services with respect to hunting big game (under an allocated licence), or wolf or coyote;
  • to apply for a licence of behalf of the contracted hunter;
  • enter into a contract with a resident to provide guiding services respecting the hunting of big game, wolf or coyote they are legally authorized to hunt.

Big Game (Class T) Outfitter-Guides are entitled to:

  • enter into a contract with a non-resident or non-resident alien for the provision of guided hunting services with respect to hunting big game excepting trophy sheep (under an allocated licence), or wolf or coyote;
  • to apply for a licence of behalf of the contracted hunter;
  • enter into a contract with a resident to provide guiding services respecting the hunting of big game (excepting trophy sheep), wolf or coyote) they are legally authorized to hunt.

Bird Game Outfitter-Guides are entitled to:

  • enter into a contract with a non-resident or non-resident alien for the provision of guided hunting services respecting hunting game birds.
